He is Gentle

Hi, it’s me again..    I have had the Bible stuffed down my throught at times, and  I hate that!  So, if you can’t stand my blog, I understand… I don’t mean it to be “preachy”.  I seem to benefit right now by encouraging  myself in the LORD, and His Word.  So, that is what my blog is mostly  about these days…

One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Isiah 42.1-4….” Yeshua is the LORD’S servant.  He has put His spirit on Him.”  (This is the part I especially like) ……. …..:” He will bring  justise to us.  He will be gentle.  He will not shout or raise His voice.  He will not crush those who are weak or quench the smallest spark.  He will bring full justice to those who have been wronged.”

I know I am not the greatest at being gentle and kind, but I so appreciate it when others are.  I would like when I speak, to think first, ” will this hurt this person?  Is it encouraging them, or degrading   them?”  Kindness, and gentleness are two of my life redeeming characteristics, I think.  I was hurt by those who were not kind, considerate, and gentle.  And my true heart is to be kind, and gentle.

That makes me think of another one of my “pet peeves”.  Lack of acceptance of people.  I like all people, & different people.   I think people have a right to be however they want to be.  Instead of  having to fit into someone’s preconcieved mold.

Maybe I should have entitled this “My Soapbox”.  I will get off of it now. I got a bit side-tracked there.

I like to  focus on all the positive promises.  One of my favorites is Romans 8, 31-38.  GOD is FOR ME!!  He’s not out to get me or harm me!  He is not against me! . …..Wow!  ……….I think this will take some time for me  to digest!

Next time I want to write in defense of the Underdog.  As referenced in the above verse, He will not quench the smallest spark! ….. I would like to be like this…

Later……Dona
