Determined to do you good!

Hello!  My name is Dona.  I have lived in community for 3.5 years.  I came to visit a few times first, then one time i never went back to my home.  I thought i could stay a year, get healed, then get on with my life. Well, my life is going on, but i am still here.  Reminds me of the saying, “You never know what God is up to, but you always know where you are with Him.”- and this is what God is speaking to me about lately-  The  promises He has  made to me.  They are all positive!  One I am focusing on right now, that is a favorite one of mine- ” I have determined to do you good, so do not fear”  Zechariah 8.15.  This is a short, simple vs I can hang on to right now.

The main trial I am having these days is learning how to get out of hopless despair!  Sounds challenging doesn’t it?  It is!- an impossibility with out a powerful God, who has the power to peel me up off the pavement, when i feel that down.- Recently Ihad a picture of how I felt,..-like I had been  flattened by a pavement roller, into a  thin strip of me.  Yeshua is the only one I know of that has the ability to peel me up off of the pavement, and make me stand up again.  I have lived most of my life in this state, and seem to have been stuck here for a year now.  But I am learning some tools to help me, while I’m in it. One of those is as I mentioned, strengthening my christian host (the believing part of me) with God’s promises to me.  It gives me some hope at least…  I will share the other tools with you next time!    -Dona
